Second grade students get first-hand look at Rome
2/9/2012 12:38:22 PM by Jennifer Livermore

Father James Ciupek made quite an impression on second grade students at St. John the Baptist School in Alden as he shared some of his experiences about his recent trip to Rome.

They learned about some of the historical religious landmarks, similarities and differences between our cultures, and various geographic points of interest. Students looked at pictures of the Vatican, and used the globe to better understand the distance Father Ciupek traveled. He elicited so many pertinent questions from the children and answered each one with excitement. What a terrific learning experience!
